Bass lines anyone?
Hey everyone,
So I`ve been fooling around in FL Studio 8 a bit recently, and I`m having the hardest time trying to create a good bass line. Maybe it`s because the sounds I have are inadequate, but I can never seem to get that deep rumbling bass you hear in plenty of popular songs. I can`t get the actual bass sound to stretch for a period of time, I just get these short pitiful sounds. Also, I don`t want it to sound like an actual bass guitar but more of a computered sound. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

i often layer 2-3 different bass with a lighter kick all over each other, and give each one different reverb or plug in/au settings to give it a different feeling all directions

An "easy" way would be to search for some good Bass soundfonts (there are a lot of them that are actually pretty nice).
What I also like to do is to create a bass with the FL Slayer, change settings, play around a little bit to get the desired result.

use the 3xosc with a bass boost .... make sure the bass is centered when mixing also ... you can also put it in the eq 2 and put the low frequensies volume up
make sure you use keys c2-c3 to get that rumbling bass sound good luck
