Reason is more complicated than FL Studio, but I think it's much better than FL.
I'm a newbe and I don't have experience, but FL is easy to learn.

ACTUALLY THIS IS GOING TO PISS SOME OFF
YOU DONT HAVE TO LISTEN BUT FOR ME
REASON IS DESIGNED FOR REWIRE AND WHEN REWIRED INTO CUBASE
COEXISTS WITH VST JUST FINE IN FACT HAS MORE CONTROL AND ABILITY FOR RAW SOUND DESIGN THAN FL COULD EVER BE CAPABLE OF..
WHILE I STILL USE FL AFTER 11 YEARS AS A PRODUCER.
I LIKE TO REWIRE IT AS WELL TO IMPLEMENT SICK LOOPS AND CHOPPING ALONG WITH REASON AS MY MAIN WORKHORSE
.BUT ---PROFESSIONAL - ONE WHO PROFESSES TO KNOW OR HAVE MORE KNOWLEDGE IN A CERTAIN FIELD AS YOUR AVERAGE PERSON IN THAT FIELD
THIS BEING SAID IF YOU KNOW WHAT PRO'S KNOW THEN YOU WOULD USE REASON AND LEARN IT FIRST AND OUTRIGHT THAT AWAY LATER ON WHEN IN A STUDIO FULL OF MILLS IN EQUIPMENT YOU WILL HAVE SOME IDEA AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON ..
NOT HIGHLIGHTING BUTTONS ON LOOP SOFTWARE..
AND NO PROFESSIONAL BRINGS IN RAPPERS AND MAKES THEM A BEAT IN FRUITY ANYWERE EVER. YOU WOULD GET LAUGHED OUT OF THE ROOM

So i still use FLStudio.

It is totally senseless to even discuss this kind of subjects.
Use whatever works for you. Learn all the inside outs of the system you are using and always keep progressing.
There is no shortcut.

well i have been making beats for 3 years i have tried both, and im gonna tell you the truth, Fruity loops is more user friendly except that the program it self has no good plugins as far as sounds go, reason has a huge sound bank and exclusive sounds that only the program brings not a disadvantage from reason is that is not very user friendly and that and you can not add plugins like you can in fruity loops, nontheless both programs are great but to me since i have been using it for 3 years fl studios is better than reason but i would not hesitate to rewire reason into fruity loop to tap into their sound bank /\___/\

the think both is great , it all depend on which one u want to master and it will work good for u ..... so try both and choose
