FL Studio vs. Reason?
i'm trying to get started producing using the computer.
i hear a lot about both Fruity Loops Studio and Reason. Which one is better? Can someone provide a comparison of the pros and cons? is it just a matter of preference?
this would be real helpful. aight, thanks.

I never understood how you slice samples in FL. there's an MPC emulator type thing called an FPC i think, but i dont get how you load samples. For me, Recycle for slicing and Dr. Rex for programming is easier.

It is just a matter of preference for the most part. I get more out of FL Studio. To load a sample in FL Studio u have to save the sound as a wav or mp3 and load the sound as a new channel.
Its honestly easier if u have your drumline or whatever, your samples or whatever u wanna use and mix it in Acid Pro, on top of adding all types of other dope shit too.

More professional? Exactly what do you base that statement on? Do you know that Reason doesn't even support VST's/VSTi's? I'm not sure about soundfonts, but probably not.
No, Reason is not more professional than FL Studio. Later versions of FL easily compare with other high-end sequencers, but somehow newbies keep that old rumour that FL is "just a toy" alive...

I have been usin FL for 3 years now and will never abandone it. Every version just keeps getting better and better. FL is great for the newbe and awsome for the vet. I also recommend buying the FL Studio Bible. Everything u need to or want to know is right in there.
