for some reason my original post did not come out entirely.

i was saying, listening to some of the tracks you all post here i am baffled as to what equipment you all are using to get quality tracks. i just use reason 3 and try to create melodies using bomes mouse keyboard but i still cant imagine getting quality through that alone.

also, where can i find more sounds? instruments for reason?

I believe there's some Reason refills there O_o and go to http://warbeats.com
there's some good drum kits | quality of beats depends on instrument quality and on how do you EQ the instruments,that's it if you mean the track quality and if you just mean good instrumentals then try learning scales,chords and similar stuff and making beats gets pretty easy then | I use FL 7,I've noticed it's way easier than Reason and you can still make great instrumentals,just get some of the big VSTs or rewire Reason into FL and there you go,good instruments and user-friendliness | did I forget anything? xD

of course you must have creativity but there is a tutorial on www.warbeats.com about making a melody. And here are one tip.
- stay in your scale otherwise your melody is useless. good luck!
