Get FL Studio 7.
Why? It's the easiest app for a beginner, and at the same time a professional sequencer capable of just the same as Cubase or Reason.
Remember it's not about the gear, it's about the man behind it.

get fl studio 7 mess around with the step sequencer
till your get a ok sounding beat use a snare, kick and dont always need a highhat but if so use a basic one just fill the the line,
and read the index of fl studio which comes with the program on how to use things. then read tutoriels and keep learning and learning. _________________ i woz produced to produce

get fl studio[fruityloops] and mess around with its easy-to-learn step sequence....
then get free drum kits[google free kits]....y because fl's sounds are kinda kiddish
