I give him his respect. He's tearing up the Internet and The Radio no doubt about it. His lyrics are tight and He puts them together quite nicely too. There are better rappers that haven't been given their proper dues though and soon everybody will see and there will be a big challenge.

ok i think lil wayne needsa sum respect he sold a million copies 4 carter 3 in the first 3 days this hasnt been done since 50 cents album the massacre(sold in 1 week) in lyk 2003 im not sure when that album was released but the fact that lil wayne did it in 3 days is pretty amazin an not even biggie or 2pac has done than an they are lyk the best rappers ever!!!!

Wayne changed the game, If you look at how much he has affected mixtapes, he almost created a new form of artist delivering music to the fans. No Ceilings showed that he could get on anyone's song and kill it. He does that constantly, always coming out with a new song with someone else and it is a smash hit. If you look at what hes done with Young Money that is simply amazing. He has created a Lil Wayne army of young MC's that have the Lil Wayne backing and are coming out with better and better music. Drake is going to be the first one to go big out of Young Money. Gudda Gudda, Tyga, and Nikki Minaj all are going to be good rappers. Overall I don't think anyone will have as big of an impact on rap as he will. Look at what he's done and he still hasn't even reached 30. GOO Weeezy

Record sales don't mean jack these days. Maybe the record labels are the ones buying the records to promote sales themselves, its been done before.


Lil Wayne is mad corny. Sure they get radio play, because people can't party to something with a message right? Hes got mad bars, sure, what rapper wouldn't starting at whatever age he did; the thing is he has hardly any different topics in every song he comes out with. You all need to get your head outta your asses and put down the joint and actually listen to something that isn't so easily available on the radio, something real. Something that you have to almost dig for.

I think he's great one of the best deffly one of the hardest working artists in his genre..i agree some of his song he goes over board with but thats just mixtape stuff hes tryina put out there for his fans 2 mess wit..hes still innovative and deffly did change the game..
