very nice high synth. drums are pretty banging. you said you're not using Reason, you using fruity? nevertheless, still sounds pretty nice. The background doesn't sound too g funk though. are those single notes? try using minor chords in the I IV V progression. g funk without a bass line??

nice laid back g funk sound. drums sound a little too crisp though, I would also thicken the kick. nice high synth, has much of that g funk feel. i would use more of that plucked guitar or whatever that is.
