im just using simple equipment before i move onto better stuff, college tuition and textbooks have killed me Sad

microphone: akg perception 220 & 100 (the 100 is super old lol), MXL 4000, MXL 603s pencil mic

mixer: alesis's super old multi mix 8 USB

preamp: Behringer Ultragain Pro MIC

midi controller : M Audio Oxygen 49

just below average equipment for simple producing and learnin the ropes and etc

anyone got tips on settings for the preamp?
