Anyona knows about a mic wich is good, but isn't too expensive?

i rock a samson g track w/ no damping or pop blocker in a small room and it works pretty good not much echo but its much cheaper to throw a equalizer on your vocal track than to set up insulators and stuff

it was a time when i recorded my tracks in the closet...the best way - to get small room with good mic...

how do u sound proof with egg boxes

if it's quiet in the whole house,the background noise won't be much of a problem. Turn off all the TV's and send all the other people in your house in the room that's the furthest away from your "vocal booth".

Egg cartons work well. Along with those like foamy matress thing with bumps on it. I forgot what you call it.
