i received this sound card type thing with my keyboard, its behringer uca200. it has rca in and rca out. and a usb connection.

so far i can get it to output sound from my laptop to my stereo and i can get it to record from my turntable to a recording software (cooledit).

problem is though, i wanted it to work like a line-in config. but it doesn't.

although it outputs sounds from my laptop it does not output any sound when recording into my laptop.


i run vista.

does anyone know how to set it up such that i can record and monitor at the same time? that is, listen to what i am recording?
