I have been using Fruity Loops and Adobe Audition (I don't need adobe anymore since FL has its own chopping program now) I just ordered an Axiom 25 cause it was cheap to start out with. I don't if you have money to buy an MPC go for it but don't be one of those people that buys an expensive piece of equipment and gives up in a month cause its too hard. I would work you way up, Protools is really the industry standard.
